Ohio’s franchise player is back… No, Lebron isn’t headed back to Cleveland, but this is close enough. Trippie Redd has finally dropped the long awaited album, NDA. Originally slated for 2025 with the title  “Live Love Laugh Die”, Michael White IV has pulled the heartstrings of Ragers worldwide with a new “soft rage” sound. The snippet of “Personal” (sadly, missing from the album) set Instagram ablaze in May. [Update: “Personal” is now called “To The Moon” and will drop August 28th on #NDA]

Album starts off a little slow with Merch it and Yopstar… MHMM! Paperbag Boy could have started the album off (edit: first 1/2 of Pink Toes, could have also been the perfect intro) The singles Paperbag Boy and SWAGGER really sit in a perfect pocket on the album (both produced by J Bone). Not sure why Swagger and Meet the Redds were even singles tho, only cause there are some 1 of 1 songs on this project.

WAIT A MIN, is King Spider Jeffrey Thugger Sex Williams finally back? While I’m writing this, Twitter/X is going crazy about his verse on “Uncle Phil”. Thug is in his “Surf” or even “Hercules” bag on this.

NDA is a perfect mix of classic samples over rage/ethereal production. Slimed Too’s loop sounds remind me of my childhood, a Saturday Night binge watching Toonami. Chanely and Pourin 4s have crazy samples that force Trip into that “Missing my Idols” / Weezy bag.

Let’s not forget about the supporting cast: features from Rob49, NoCap, & Sexyy Red help reach the audiences that are unfamiliar with Trip’s. Tunechi blesses our ear with… a “Wayne-level” verse on Fine Shit… same with Thug on “Uncle Phil. I didn’t expect Trippie Redd to fit that perfectly on the collabs with PND and BigX.

This album has a hit for every genre/audience. Following in Iceman’s footsteps… Trippie dropped a video for all 25 songs on the album. They honestly breathe an extra life into the album… so be sure to stream/watch on Apple or Spotify
